Feeding Your Children

Children’s eating habits are formed at an early age.  Help your kids make the best food choices by exposing them to a variety of foods.  Amy will address nutritional needs and create an individualized nutrition plan to help kids make the best food choices.

New Food Products

Since there are many new food products available, Amy utilizes the most current research to help in selecting the best food products in the marketplace.   She will also help incorporate the right foods into your diet.  Amy will create an individualized meal plan and help prepare a grocery list.

Weight Management

Amy works with patients to create an individualized meal plan that addresses patients medical history, food preferences, previous diet history and activity level.  Amy creates a nutrition plan to promote weight loss.  Follow-up sessions are often recommended to foster diet change.

Managing Gestational Diabetes

Gestational diabetes is a condition characterized by high blood glucose levels caused by  hormones secreted during pregnancy.  Amy specializes in treating women with gestational diabetes.  Amy will teach the patient how to manage carbohydrates, test blood sugar, and eat an adequate diet.

Disease Prevention

Lower your risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and many cancers by eating a healthy, balanced diet.  Amy will help you understand which foods are best for you to prevent disease.  She will develop a food plan that is realistic and easy to follow.   By working with Amy, you will know exactly which foods can help you live a long,  healthy life.

Amy will help patients with pre-diabetes and diabetes find the right kinds of foods to eat to control blood sugars.  Balanced eating will help prevent further development of diabetes and stabilize blood sugars throughout the day.  Amy will provide an individualized meal plan and teach patients how to choose the best food options.
